Epilepsy WA

Epilepsy WA was founded in 1963 and provides the widest array of epilepsy support services for the WA community, including a state-wide helpline, a large network of monthly nurse facilitated support groups, a free seizure-alert loan program, epilepsy training, patient seminars/webinars, a compassionate ear listening service, a seizure technology display, injury and risk reduction planning and awareness-raising activities. Epilepsy WA’s office is conveniently located near to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands.

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) vision is to create a world where people with SCI and Neurological Conditions and their loved ones thrive.

Stroke Foundation

The Stroke Foundation partners with the community to prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery. This is done through raising awareness, facilitating research and supporting stroke survivors.

Brain Foundation

Established in 1970 by an eminent group of neurologists and neurosurgeons, the Brain Foundation remains dedicated to funding neurological and neuroscientific research in Australia.

The Brain Foundation is dedicated to funding the next generation of Australian research into neurological disorders, diseases, and injuries, with the ultimate goal of advancing diagnoses, treatments, and patient outcomes.

There is no cure without research.

Visability

For over 100 years, VisAbility has been providing emotional and peer support services to Western Australians with low or no vision. Their professional therapy and support services are available to individuals at any stage of life, in homes, at school, at work and in the community.

Encephalitis

Encephalitis International is a website providing up to date information, research and stories of people surviving encephalitis. It provides resources for medical professionals and builds awareness of the condition through awareness days

Australian Sports Brain Bank

The Australian Sports Brain Bank’s mission is to use expert diagnostic neuropathology, coupled with research, to understand chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and other brain pathology that is associated with repetitive head injury in sport and elsewhere. They empower families and loved ones by providing accurate diagnoses and use donor tissue for biomedical research into CTE and other brain disorders.
