Leisure activities can play a major role in recovery and quality of life after an acquired brain injury (ABI). The right activities help improve cognitive skills, physical ability, mood, and social connection.

Peace by Piece Art

Peace By Piece Art is a registered charity located in Perth, Western Australia that offers a unique and complementary approach within the field of mental health and trauma recovery. We offer community-based creative and experiential programs for wellbeing, guided by trauma-aware practices. We offer creative and somatic art experiences – with trauma-informed principles – that complement, but do not replace, clinical psychological care.

Medibank Park Run

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. parkrun is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning. It is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit, and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.

This website encourages users to connect with others to improve their mental health by connecting, belonging or committing to activities, groups and organisations that can keep them mentally, physically, socially and spiritually

Artworks By Liv

Liv runs workshops in which she uses her art therapy so participants can create artworks meaningful to them. She also has podcasts on her website with different interviews with people about a variety of topics.

Volunteer at Fiona Stanley Hospital group

The efforts of more than 400 volunteers across both sites complement the care and expertise provided by our healthcare staff. Under the coordination of our Volunteer Service, these volunteers deliver tailored support services.

For 30 years, DADAA has been at the forefront of disability arts in Western Australia. From arts mentoring and studio programs through to collaborating with communities on large scale projects, providing access to arts and culture for people with disability is at the heart of everything they do.
